Gear that I use

So I believe that one of the most important factors in having an enjoyable and safe hunt is to have the right gear and as the boy scouts would always say "BE PREPARED".
So I came across this very interesting guy on the net the other day, he calls himself the "Elk Nut" and he made a video that covers all the essentials for your pack you carry as you are in the mountains chasing that big bull or buck. So I thought I would post that video which will, if you follow his recommendations (and my recommendations, because these are virtually the same things I pack in my hunting pack) you will have a more safe and enjoyable hunt and you'll be prepared for nearly any situation you may come across in the mountains.
The list of the other gear I use will be coming soon as well, but for now enjoy the "Elk Nut".

LETS GET IT ON!!!

Wow, so if anyone reads this it has been a LONG time since I have posted anything, but I would like to get some stuff up here again on a more regular basis... anyway...
So its mid'ish July and I am getting so PUMPED for the up-coming archery hunt! for those that don't know I reside in Utah, so its a bit different from your typical tree stand archery hunting for big whitetails in the east or mid west. This is get out and hike your butt off and work for your prize kind of a hunt and I LOVE every minute of it!
My absolute favorite country is where the aspens and pines reside. Where on a crisp September morning you can hear the echo of a Big Bull Elk rutting in the distance that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand at attention. This is Gods Country!
I have both my archery Deer and Archery Elk tags and so we'll see how it pans out I will for sure be keeping y'all posted! I am actually working on trying to video tape my hunts so I may be able to post those here.

I have had some people ask me what equipment I use when archery hunting, so here is an abbreviated list. more will be coming soon.

Bow - Mathews Drenalin
Arrows - Easton
Broad heads - Whackem

The bugle and cow calls that I have found that sound the absolute best are the one that Mossback puts out:

Bugle - Mini Throttle Bugle
Cow call - Widowmaker

(just watch this CRAZY video mossback put out illustrating the effectiveness of this amazing cow call)...

If that doesn't get you going, check your pulse, you might be dead (or just an idiot) lol

I'll have more "gear that I use" up here soon. so stay tuned!!!
